Cedar Park Rainforest Resort

Welcome to Paradise

Escape the crowds and enjoy a retreat to the rainforest

Escape the crowds and enjoy a retreat to the rainforest. Cedar Park is isolated but not far. We are a place to step back from the push of technology. While we do have free high speed wifi and a land line telephone available for use, that is the limit of communications. There is no mobile phone reception, so you can turn it off (or connect to wifi if you must). Rooms and public areas have no television. You will not see or hear it here. Instead you listen to the sounds of nature, from bird life during the day to frogs, cicadas and curlews in the evening. Each large suite has a private verandah overlooking wilderness.

In the evening there is fine dining on the restaurant’s deck overlooking the national park rainforest. The restaurant is open to hotel guests every night. On Fridays The Restaurant at Cedar Park has a gourmet buffet which is open to the public. We will ask if you want to book a table.

We have our own orchard you may stroll which produces mangos, limes, lemons, lemonade, starfruit, guava, papaya, bananas, cumquat, native Davidson plum and native raspberries. These will appear on your breakfast fruit platter when in season. You can see other trees under cultivation but not yet bearing fruit, including macadamia nuts, avocados, jackfruit, coffee, oranges, mandarins, olives and figs. We also grow herbs and vegetables we use in the restaurant.

Take advantage of our price drop on two or more nights.
Rooms include breakfast, wifi, port wine, fresh coffee, tea & biscuits.

At Cedar Park Resort we produce our own honey from the hives on our property. It can be enjoyed as part of your breakfast and is sold in jars to take away.

A deluxe continental breakfast buffet is included in the room price. On offer is a seasonal fresh fruit platter, local Tablelands yogurt and milk, quality assorted cereals, cheeses, meats and breads, plus boiled eggs, juices, fresh local coffee and tea. Breakfast is served from 8:30am to 9:30am. If you are leaving early let us know in advance and we will prepare a packed breakfast for you.

Situated in the rainforest 45 minutes from Cairns, between Kuranda and Mareeba.
